Cheesy Garlic Biscuits
This is an old classic. For those of you (un)fortunate enough to have ever eaten at (read: “survived a trip to”) the high-end dining establishment “The Red Lobster” – then these are even more familiar. It’s a “made in 8 minutes” version of a roll that just screams “class”!
…but mostly it just tastes good.

Cook Time:
15 min
Ingredients:
2 cups of Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
For garlic butter topping:
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
What You’ll Need:
1 mixing bowl
1 baking sheet
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Mix the Bisquick, milk, and cheese, just until mixed – no need to over-mix.
- Grease a baking sheet with pam or butter. Take little smaller-than-baseball-sized portions of dough out and form into a biscuit. Place each ball onto the baking sheet. This should yield 10 biscuits.
- Put them in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until just beginning to brown.
- Place the butter and garlic powder into a microwaveable bowl and microwave for about a minute, or until butter is melted.
- Brush the tops of the biscuits with butter mixture and serve! (Note: if you don’t have a brush, you can just slowly spoon a bit on top of each biscuit).
This MIGHT just work for date night as well…while jagged misshapen biscuits don’t exactly squeal “do me” the taste surely will! Enjoy, dudes!

My dad was the chef in my house growing up and he always made these. If you want really good biscuits, here’s an alternative to bisquick(gross).
Awesome and Easy Biscuits
Prep time: 7-10min
Cook time : 15min
Makes 18-24 Biscuits depending on size
4Cups Flour
4tsp Bakewell Cream (I order online as you can only find it in New England)
2tsp baking soda
1tsp salt
1/2Cup shortening
1 and1/2Cups COLD milk
For Cheesy Biscuits you’ll need 1 and 1/2Cups grated Cheddar
Pre-heat oven to 475F
Mix all dry ingredients, cut shortening into dry ingredients using 2 table knives.
For cheesy biscuits, add your cheese now.
Add milk all at once and stir quickly with a fork. If its not a nice soft dough, add a tiny bit more milk at a time.
Plop your dough onto a floored counter and knead 5 or 6 times (no more than that or you’ll have rock hard biscuits). Flatten the dough to about 1/2 inch and cut circles with a glass for nice round biscuits or just ball up about the size of a golf ball and drop on a pan for funky ones.
Bake 5min, turn off the oven and leave them in for another 5-10min or until golden.
Seriously the best biscuits ever! I memorized this recipe when I was 20 so I could still have them when I was living far from home.
